If you can’t beat ’em run them over with a bicycle and a van?!?!?

Best of the Super Junior night 11 was the scene of an attempted vehicular homicide as DDT’s Mao brought the craziness of that promotion to NJPW as he took on The House of Torture, and his scheduled opponent, Sho.

Mao comes out riding a bicycle running over Sho from behind as he makes his entrance. Ren Narita and Yujiro Takahashi attack. Sho whips Mao through rows of chairs. Sho chokes out Mao with a steel chair. Mao’s DDT tag team partner in Strange Love Connection, Kanon, gets involved in the action. Kanon distracts Sho so that Mao can belt him with a steel chair from behind. Mao takes Sho through the backstage area when he is sent through a door and stumbles outside where the brawling continues. Mao leaps off some stairs onto everyone. And no, the match hasn’t even started yet. The bell never rung. Mao gets inside a van but has trouble starting it.

Mao has House of Torture in his headlights. Mao drives ahead. Everyone jumps out of the way except for Sho who bounces off the front of the van. The crowd claps their approval from inside the arena. What a bloodthirsty lot. There is an actual dent on the front of the van where Sho took that bump. When a crazy-eyed Mao gets out of the van the official reads him the riot act but he couldn’t care less.

Mao puts Sho in a headlock to bring him back into the building. Mao lays Sho’s body on a cart pushing him to the ring. The DDT superstars follow him cheering and smiling. Mao rolls Sho in the ring, the bell rings, Mao attempts to pin Sho and…Sho kicks out?!?!

Walker Stewart asks: Have you ever seen somebody get hit by a car and kick out at two?

Narita pulls Mao out of the ring. The DDT talent come to his rescue. Yujiro bashes Mao with a steel chair. Yujiro puts Mao’s arm through a steel chair on the arena floor. Narita slams the bike’s front wheel again and again on the chair and Mao’s arm. Sho traps Mao’s arm in one of the long turnbuckle pads NJPW has and starts working that arm over.

Mao has Sho in arm lock. The bell rings but it was Narita hitting the bell. The crowd boos Narita. Mao pushes the official into Sho, bounces off the ropes, over the official and hits Sho with a cutter. Mao attempts a pin but Yujiro pulls the official out of the ring. The House of Torture brawls with the DDT talent and double-team Mao. Mao kicks out of a Shock Arrow. Sho grabs his wrench. The official sees and stops him. Mao finds a giant foam fist blocking Sho’s wrench shot. Mao hits the “mega fist”, his super kick and 450 splash for the win.

Back to the actual tournament though, it will be Yoh, the winner of Block B against Kosei Fujita, the winner of Block A, in the finals of the Best of the Super Junior tournament. Yoh had to get through Taiji Ishimori to secure his place in the finals.

Yoh landed a high knee smash on Ishimori. He puts Ishimori in the Anaconda Vice but doesn’t have it locked on as both men battle on their feet. On the mat, Yoh flips the Ishimori’s Bone Lock into an Anaconda Vice. Ishimori fights out of it by ramming Yoh’s back into an exposed turnbuckle. Yoh pins Ishimori with a Direct Drive.

Going into the finals, Fujita and has five wins and four losses. Yoh has six wins and three losses.

The finals of the tournament will be held on June 1st.
